Unveiled on the 19th of June, just ahead of Father’s Day, our UK-exclusive Origins of Craft cocktail collection is inspired by the journey of our founder, Mr Bing-Yi Yang, that led him to Din Tai Fung. This collection has been specially crafted by our Din Tai Fung Bar team.
The Story
Origins of Craft captures the early chapters of our founder’s legacy, with ingredients chosen for provenance, time and place. Designed to complement our dishes, sip through the years with your Din Tai Fung favourites.
Above all, our founder was both a husband and a father. This year, make this Father’s Day (21st of June) extra special by exploring one father’s remarkable legacy. Bring the father in your life and celebrate them with a drink from our Origins of Craft collection!
Six stories, six drinks
Legacy Highball (£14.50): Our take on the classic highball that’s made with a reduction syrup from Din Tai Fung’s Craft Beer and non-alcoholic IPA to commemorate our founder’s birth in Shanxi Province.
Pen Mei’s Martini (£14.50): A nod to our Oriental Salad created by Pen Mei that features julienne seaweed and Mr Yang’s voyage to Taiwan to start anew.
Yang’s Old Fashioned (£14.50): An umami tribute to our founder’s work ethic and diligence that still underpins our values today.
Spritz 1955 (£14.50): Floral and bubbly, this drink celebrates Mr Yang’s marriage to Pen Mei.
Sweet Dream (£14.50): A bold fusion of pear and chocolate flavours that mirrors the couple’s decision to open their own oil retailer under the name Din Tai Fung.
New Dynasty (£15.80): To mark our renewal as a restaurant, we have transformed the Piña Colada by clarifying it and garnished with papaya caviar.
