It’s harvest time for grapes, and our bar team has handpicked some delicious new wines landing at our restaurants from Tuesday 24th of September. Read on to discover brand new wine pairings at Din Tai Fung that might surprise you.
Never Say Never to Napa
Chardonnay, Grgich Hills Estate, USA
Rich, full-bodied, and with intense fruit and touch of oak, this iconic Napa Valley Chardonnay is the perfect companion to bring out the umami-ness of our Chicken Cutlet with Egg Fried Rice.
Fun fact: Crafted by the Grgich family, their wines famously beat French wines in the 1976 “Paris Tasting” and inspired the movie Bottle Shock. It’s a legend in a glass.
Yes, Red with Dumplings
Carmenere Piu’, Inama, Italy
This medium-bodied red brings a lively mix of dark berries, cocoa, and black pepper, making it a perfect pairing with our juicy Beef Xiao Long Bao.
Fun fact: Inama’s bold experiment with Carmenere in Italy’s Veneto region is raising the bar for this grape. Smooth, balanced, and perfect for pairing.
Coastal Elegance
Albariño, Chavez Cinco Islas, Spain
Crisp, refreshing, and floral with a light mineral finish, this Albariño pairs beautifully with our Vegetable Jiao Zi. The white wine’s bright acidity cuts through the delicate flavours of the mixed vegetable filling, creating a fresh and balanced experience.
Fun fact: From a Galician family winery, this wine is a product of generations of organic farming. Keep an eye out for the hidden lighthouse on the bottle label – a nod to its coastal origins.
Now, all there’s left to do is grab a glass, share the experience with friends, and cheers to new discoveries at Din Tai Fung.
