Do you do anything special for birthdays or celebrations?
We love celebrating special moments with our guests! Let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to make your visit memorable. You’re welcome to bring your own cake as we charge £15 cakeage per table, or simply enjoy a treat from our dessert menu to mark the occasion.
Is Din Tai Fung family-friendly?
Absolutely! Children are always welcome and often love visiting the Bao Bao mascot at the front of some of our restaurants. We provide children’s sets, high chairs on request, and changing tables available at all branches. Kid-friendly souvenirs like Bao Bao plush toys and stickers are also available.
Is there a dress code?
There’s no dress code, come comfortably and enjoy your meal.
Do you allow cats or dogs in the restaurant?
Only at specific locations. We welcome well-behaved cats and dogs at our Canary Wharf and Selfridges locations, and we can provide water for your furry friends upon request. Din Tai Fung Covent Garden and Centre Point locations do not allow pets.
Do all locations have disabled access?
Most of our restaurants are wheelchair accessible, but some areas aren’t fully suited for wheelchair use. To ensure the most comfortable experience, please let us know in advance if you need disabled access or any special assistance. We’ll plan ahead and reserve the best possible seating for you.
Do you have a loyalty programme?

Is there a mandatory service charge?
Paying for service is entirely optional. We include a discretionary 12.5% service charge for convenience, but guests are free to decide how much to leave.

2. Reservations
Are reservations required?
While not mandatory, we encourage making a reservation online to guarantee your table. All locations accept walk-ins as well. If online availability is limited, simply drop by, you may have a short wait, but we’ll welcome you warmly.
How can I make a reservation?
Reservations are available on our website up to 60 days in advance for parties of 6–8, depending on the location.
How can I make a large group reservation?
For parties larger than 6 guests, please contact our dedicated events team via our large group booking form here. They will help you find the perfect arrangement.
Can I change or cancel my reservation?
You can edit or cancel your reservation using the link in your confirmation email. Large group bookings have specific terms, please refer to your email for details.
Do you still run Xiao Long Bao Masterclasses?
Yes! We run seasonal adult Xiao Long Bao Masterclasses and Half-Term Kids Dumpling masterclasses at Centre Point and Canary Wharf. Sign up for our newsletter in our footer to be the first to hear about upcoming masterclasses. Large group bookings in our private dining rooms at Centre Point and Canary Wharf can also enjoy private masterclass experiences.

3. Din Tai Fung Bar
Can I come just for drinks at the bar?
Yes! Selfridges, Centre Point, and Canary Wharf welcome guests at the bar without ordering food. Covent Garden requires food with alcoholic drinks due to licensing regulations. We also offer a range of bar bites to pair with all our delicious drinks.
Where can I try Din Tai Fung Craft Beer and IPA Zero?
Both beers, crafted in collaboration with a local brewery, are available at all locations both at the bar and at the restaurant. We recommend pairing them with your favourite Xiao Long Bao for a perfect match!
Do you offer Click & Collect or deliveries?
Yes! Click & Collect is available across all locations. For delivery, we partner with Deliveroo and Uber Eats, so you can enjoy our dumplings at home, at the office, or wherever you like. Check their platforms to see if we deliver to you.

How do I buy your gifts merchandise?
