FAQs
I joined Din Tai Fung Rewards before 3 June 2025. What’s changed?
We’ve upgraded our Rewards programme to make earning and redeeming easier. An email was sent on 3 June 2025 with full details outlined below, including a link to your new wallet pass and access to the new guest portal:
New points system to earn faster and easier
From 3 June 2025, you now earn 1 point for every £1 spent (excluding service charge). Once you reach 400 points, a complimentary basket of Xiao Long Bao will be automatically added to your account. Note, points are rounded down to the nearest pound. For example, a £30.75 spend (excluding service charge) will earn 30 points.
How do I log in to my account?
Click here to access the new guest portal using your email. You’ll receive a one-time code to log in securely, and your points and rewards will already be waiting for you.
Do I need a new wallet pass?
Yes. Your old pass is no longer valid. Please download the new wallet pass here. If you had points and rewards in your accounts, these have already been carried over.
Your phone number is now your membership number
Your phone number is now your membership number to make it simpler and easier to identify your membership at the restaurant. Please login to the portal to update your phone number if you haven’t done so already. Your old membership number is no longer valid.
I’ve logged in to the new Rewards portal, but my points are missing. What should I do?
This may be because you’ve accidentally re-registered using a different email or phone number. To help us merge your accounts, please email us at rewards@dintaifung-uk.com with your first name, last name, and both the new and old email address and phone number you registered with. We’ll take care of the rest and make sure your points are restored.
Why can’t I see my visit or transaction history in the new portal before 3rd of June?
As part of the Rewards upgrade, we’ve started fresh with visit and transaction records from the 3rd of June. Don’t worry, your points and rewards have all been carried over. If you have any questions about past visits, feel free to email us at rewards@dintaifung-uk.com and we’ll be happy to help.
Earned Points During Downtime?
If you dined with us during the short downtime period on the 2nd of June where you weren’t able to earn points, simply email your receipts and registered phone number to rewards@dintaifung-uk.com. We’ll manually add the points to your new account.
Is Din Tai Fung Rewards free to join?
Yes. Our rewards programme is completely free to join for you to earn points and unlock exclusive benefits and rewards every time you dine.
I have just signed up to Din Tai Fung Rewards and have not received an email to verify my account. What should I do?
Please check your junk or spam inboxes as sometimes the verification email may fall into your other inboxes.
Can I earn points from other Din Tai Fung Restaurants around the world outside of UK?
Our Din Tai Fung Rewards programme is currently available in the UK only. Any points and rewards earned in the UK can only be used within UK participating restaurants, and not redeemable or transferrable to any other Din Tai Fung around the world.
How do I earn points?
Every time you dine-in at din Tai Fung UK, you will be able to earn 1 point for every £1 (excluding service charge) you spend at participating Din Tai Fung restaurants in the UK. Bankable points are based on gross spend excluding service charge and no points are earned for transactions made with gift cards, events, delivery, takeaway or click-and-collect platforms.
How do points get banked into my Din Tai Fung Rewards account?
Simply provide our staff with your mobile number at the time of dining. A member of staff will be able to look up your account and bank in points for you at the point of getting your bill. Please note we will not be able to bank in points for you after your visit.
I have just earned 400 points and am eligible for my reward, redeemable towards my next visit. How do I redeem it?
You should have received an email from us to notify you of your reward, which would have been automatically loaded into your account. Next time you dine with us, simply show your rewards card to a staff and let them know you would like to redeem your reward at the time of placing an order.
Is there a minimum spend in order to redeem my Xiao Long Bao Automated Reward?
Yes, there is a minimum spend of £40 in order to redeem your Xiao Long Bao Automated Reward.
My points have reset. Where have my points gone?
Once you have earned 400 points, we will automatically convert your 400 points to a complimentary reward, which will be loaded into your account, to be redeemed within a month. Hence your points in your account will reset.
How do i check my points and rewards balnce?

How many rewards can I redeem per visit?
You can only redeem one reward per visit, per party. The only time you can redeem two rewards in conjunction is your birthday reward.
What happens if we split the bill?
You can split the bill however you like, however we can only allocate and bank in earned points to one membership per table.
We have multiple Din Tai Fung Rewards members dining together in the same party. Can we earn points separately for our own membership accounts?
You can earn points towards one membership per table, per party.
I have just dined at Din Tai Fung but have forgotten to let a member of staff know I am a member and to bank in my points. What should I do?
Please note we will only be able to bank in points for you at the time of dining when you are getting the bill.
I have just dined at Din Tai Fung, I am not a member yet but would like to join and bank in my points from this visit. What should I do?
Sign up to the programme ahead of getting your bill.
Will my rewards expire?
Yes – these will usually expire within 2-4 weeks depending on your reward. Please login to your account to check expiry details of your earned reward and book in your next visit to make sure you don’t lose it!
Will my points expire?
Yes – All points will expire if a membership has not been used to collect or redeem points in any 12 month period.
Can I earn points with merchandise, click & collect, or deliveries?
No. You can only earn points for Din Tai Fung Rewards programme from dine-in experiences on food and beverage items consumed at the restaurant.
